Sketches from TV series —-Candle In The Tomb

I‘m a loyal book fan of Candle In the Tomb, I bought the first book of this series when I was just 9.
I never had too much expectation of the adapted TV play, but this really gave me a big surprise after it shown on the TV.

The cast they chose perfectly expressed the personality of the character in the book. The fighting scenes are very exciting, and CG special effects don’t have much sense of disobedience.
There are eight books in this series, and this TV play is only one of them. I am looking forward to the other seven books being adapted with such high quality.
I think this character ZheGuShao (鹧鸪哨) is very suitable to be presented in the style of Takehiko Inoue’s painting of Bagabondo, so when I practice my sketching from the screenshots, I chose an ink painting effect brush, also added the texture and colour to the background.

I wish next time I could draw him with environment around. ^^
