Jobs of interest- Cats and Soup & Sky: Children of the Light

As well as the traditional production of animated episodes and the animation of commercials I am also keen to work on the animation in games. I knew I mentioned this in the previous post. but those games were all from big studios and should be online played with other players. And in this post, I wanna talk about two games that people could enjoy playing alone that I would like to be involved in the production.

I recently discovered a really cute game called Cats and Soup. It’s a little healing management game with no complicated thinking or fighting aspects, but it has art that appeals to me in a very cute and relaxing style.

There are many attractive designs and details in it that would make me want to join in the making of the game very much. The dynamics of each cat are very happy and joyful, and the costumes, accessories and props are very cute and fun.

The cat makes soup, cuts carrots, squeezes juice, peels corn, cuts cauliflower, peels pine nuts …… and runs to a resting place to enjoy the flowers, listen to music, read a book and play on the trampoline when he is tired of working. The little animations are really well made.

As well as this game, there is another game called SKY, which is also a game project I would like to be involved in. The players control characters with no dialogue, but the characters interact with each other in a lovely action and the worldview has an epic feel to it. It has a very engaging set design and story line that unfolds, and the music is relaxing and calming, making it a game that will make the world feel quiet and beautiful.

I really hope to join in the production team of similar style games in the future.

So in my spare time I will start researching information about those production studios in the same genre. I’ll start sending in my CV if there are any suitable positions. I’ve also been working on updating my portfolio at the same time, and I hope to add making personal website to my schedule soon.
The good thing is that SKY’s Chinese agent is the company I used to work for: NetEase Games. Had an internship with this company I think will help me in my job search afterwards.
